That's a lot of new owners who just drove their first Alberta winter—and a lot of paint that's been sitting under 180 kg of salt per lane-kilometer for the last four months. These three models share Hyundai's current design language: bold plastic cladding, piano black interiors, wide lower grilles. But they have wildly different care needs.

The Ioniq 5's one-piece clamshell hood traps water in spots you'd never think to check. The Tucson and Santa Fe's textured wheel arches stain from road spray in ways smooth plastic never would. Never use all-purpose cleaner or Armor All-type products on piano black. They leave a hazy film that looks worse than the fingerprints you're trying to remove.
